Aunt Anna’s Kitchen

Galley kitchens are a cook's favourite for a reason.  Everything, if well designed, is at your fingertips.  Stove, fridge and sink all are at an arm’s reach allowing for maximum functionality. This kitchen was such a pleasure to work on with my aunt Anna.  Anna had studied Interior Design so she didn't need me much!  Through our discussions we decided to keep the colours clean but added a bolt of red granite behind the sink and the stove.  This not only adds a splash of colour but is practical as it allows for less water to touch the wood counters and place to put hot pots from the stove.  Peter built a beautiful custom china cabinet that would display and use her treasured great grandmother's, grandmother's and mother's china pieces.
