There were many little details that made Mike & Mia's renovation & addition so special. We created interesting and yet useful spaces in the entryway & mudroom, main floor laundry area and a small, but chic powder room. Not to mention an adorable cat door.

Mudrooms and laundry rooms are not rooms you normally put as high priorities in renovation. However, these spaces are used daily in most of our lives, and if they are well designed and pleasing to they eye - they make every day a little easier. The laundry room was tucked under the stairs. It houses the washer and dryer as well as a counter surface for folding, storage cupboards for cleaning supplies and such and a drying rack for the delicates. In the mudroom we built in large armoires to house all the day to day items such as coats, footwear & sports gear. Funky wallpaper with an ostrich motif adds some fun to the space. The small entrance had no built in closet. A custom bench with drawers provides a seating area and a slim mirror provides a spot for a last second check! We repeated the same fun wallpaper here. A tiny powder room was placed off the great room. Gorgeous hexagonal marble tile from countertop to ceiling steals the show.
