For Sarah and Brad's space we were keen to take advantage of the gorgeous natural features of the space. I wanted the living room and dining room to read as one space so matching the curtains was important. The curtains also highlighted the amazing ten-foot ceilings and large windows. We kept neutral walls so that we could punch out the room with colourful accents. This way if you ever get tired of the accents, you just have to change your pillows! We took out the 80s brass fireplace and got a gas insert, found an antique mantelpiece to install and tiled it with Carrera marble - which was typical of a turn of the century home. Lastly, we replaced the laminate floor with a hard wood floor and the outdated ceiling fans with gorgeous large antique mill-glass light fixtures.
