Chic cottage feel.

The spaces in this house were large but removing the wall between the centralized kitchen and the dining room allowed the view to be enjoyed.  We also blocked off an unnecessary door at the back to be able to extend the cabinetry and counters.  With light flowing into the space, there was nowhere to hide so everything had to be outstanding.  The custom kitchen cabinetry was painted a soft grey with a slightly darker tone on the island.  Shaker style doors and black hardware keep the look classic and walnut cubby style shelves make access to everyday items quick and easy. Full sheet backsplash and counters in Cambria's Brittanica quartz create a spectacular backdrop for the space.  The barnwood backing on the island is both beautiful and practical - the texture warms up the space and protects the island from little swinging feet. For structural reasons, a small section of wall had to remain between the hall and kitchen but this gave us the opportunity to create a separate beverage station with wine fridge, coffee machine & storage.

Can you say "eclectic" ?

This waterfront home boasted outstanding views of the river however the views of it's own kitchen were less than spectacular.  Previous owners had customize the whole home with their eclectic style.  The cabinets where tri-colour peach, green & black.  There was koi themed wallpaper on the walls & ceilings and a custom frosted glass (also with koi).  The granite counters were black and salmon.  The room central in the house but was blocked off from the gorgeous river views. This was no the look the new owners were going for so we helped them reinvent the space.
