Jody’s Bathroom

This isn’t technically a master bathroom but we wanted it to have that feel. With an awkward layout, we found a creative solution to accommodate both a soaker tub and stand alone shower.  By tiling one end of the room, we created a “wet-ish” area with enough room for a bit of dripping.   Pebble tile is not a style we often use, however it works really well in this area with the arched junction with the original hardwood.  The area was narrow so we designed a custom vanity with lots of storage but which is narrower than standard.  The homeowner fell in love with this vessel sink which reminds us of an antique mixing bowl.  A built in nook behind the toilet adds an extra spot for tucking items you need close at hand.  There wasn’t a lot of swing space for a door, so we installed a barn door and painted it to compliment the wallpaper in the upstairs hall.
