This 1930’s home had a ton of character but a teeny galley kitchen. We had to rethink the layout of the entire main floor in order to open it up. We closed off the door from the main entryway to the home in order to have somewhere to put the fridge. We brought the quartz counter all the way up the backsplash, built in an oak bench for more dining space, and did a custom tile rug pattern in the entrance. We had a lot of fun mixing colour and texture, making this space fun and young while still fitting the more traditional style of the home.
