When we bought our circa 1970 home, we knew we wanted to make changes but didn’t know where to begin. From the first day I met Emma (and Johanna), however, I knew I would be in good hands. Emma took the time to listen to what we wanted and then presented us with ideas that would fulfill our wishes. The result was a complete transformation of the entire first floor – opening up the rooms so that instead of two cramped dining areas and two sitting areas, we now have an elegant, spacious and light-filled kitchen that flows into a dining area with lots of room for entertaining. The old formal dining room at the front became our bright, beautiful, and functional home office – a huge improvement over the dark basement area that used to house the workspace.

In addition to providing the design for our home, the Grassroots team did all of the renovations and coordinated the many moving parts including the purchase of materials, electrical and plumbing work, painting, installations, permits, etcetera so that everything happened on time, on budget, and in the correct order and I never had to think about it. They also designed and built custom pieces for my home, adding beautiful and unique touches. Grassroots transformed a tired, dated space into a home that my husband and I love coming home to every day.

My experience with Emma and Grassroots was exceptional and I am looking forward to having them back this year to redesign and renovate our main bathroom. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is thinking of improving their living space!
